Specific features of the microphase structure of polyblock urethane-containing anionomers

2002
The effect of the size of ionic group cations (Na + , K + , or N + H 3 NH 2 ) on the microphase structure and properties of sulfonate-containing poly(urethane semicarbazide) anionomers was studied by SAXS scattering and DSC. The increase in the size of cations contributed to the disordering of hard blocks in domains, thus resulting in the tendency toward an increase in the sizes of hard domains and a decrease in the ultimate mechanical characteristics of anionomers when interdomain spacings and the level of microphase segregation in anionomers remain invariable.
