Analisa Pengendalian Bahan Baku Kayu Rambung Dengan Metode Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) Pada PT. Canang Indah

Hull wood is the raw material used for the production process which is processed into MDF boards & Particle Boards and this wood is a type of wood that is easily available and has a low price compared to other types of wood. PT. Canang Indah is a company engaged in the production of MDF & Particle Board boards and makes woods as main material. The writer takes data by direct observation interviews with leaders and each member of the logistics department and takes purchasing and use data from logistical administration. But in the process often the accumulation of raw materials so that raw materials become damaged and rotten that will experience a loss in the company. In this case the company requires a method in controlling the supply of raw materials that are able to launch a production system, namely the control of the supply of wood products using the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) method from the results of the author's research, it can be concluded using the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) can prevent stacking and lack of raw materials for production so that the inventory control system runs smoothly, can minimize losses to the company. With this method the company will not experience a buildup of raw materials and can determine the quantity of supply orders that can minimize storage costs and inventory ordering costs.
