On the spin dependence of the nucleon‐nucleon interaction

2008
By utilizing a disperison theoretic calculation of the isospin zero helicity non‐flip amplitude to supplement the experimental data, and by making physically reasonable assumptions about isospin one dominance of certain helicity flip amplitudes we have been able to obtain a unique, stable set of amplitudes in the region −0.7?t?−0.1 GeV2 at pL=6 GeV. We further demonstrate the importance of the phase of the non‐flip amplitudes in understanding the large t behaviour of P, CnN and CSS.
