Objective: To describe an accident with Oxytrigona tataira bee, highlighting the clinical features of the patient and the following therapeutic approach performed. Case report: A 64-year-old patient was admitted to the hospital after an accident with bees presenting clinical signs of severe pain, paraesthesia and blisters in the left upper limb. The initial treatment was performed with oral and venous hydration and analgesia. During the admission, amoxicillin plus clavulanic acid 500mg, prednisolone 20mg, silver sulfadiazine 1% and dipyrone 500mg were prescribed, as well as surgical debridement under anesthesia. After 7 days of hospitalization, the patient was discharged with outpatient follow ups within the next 15 days. Conclusion: Although accidents with tataira bee are potentially severe, there are few reports on this topic published in the literature. The severity of the case will depend on the extent of skin affected and possible complications such as dehydration, hydroelectrolytic disorders and secondary infections.
