COĞRAFİ ORİJİN BELİRLEMEDE KARARLI İZOTOP VE ELEMENTAL ANALİZ YÖNTEMLERİNİN KULLANILMASI

In recent years, the importance of control in food authenticity and origin has increased recently due to the expanding global markets. This globalization created a need for better monitoring systems in the food sector to determine the quality, authenticity and origin of consumer goods. The increase of wine grape growing in our country and the control of the origin of the wine obtained from them are of great importance for the developing trade volume. The “Protected designation of origin–Appellation d’originecontrȏlee”, which has been adopted by European Union countries for many years, has not been sufficiently implemented in Turkey yet, and this negativeness weakens the competitive power against quality wines in domestic and foreign markets of Turkish wines and table wines with geographical indication. In the world where food traceability and authenticity are important, it is necessary to go to the “Protected designation of origin–Appellation d’originecontrȏlee” in order to be able to prepare foreign competition of wine which has the potential production volume in terms of our country. Determination of origin that is an important part of food traceability in wines obtained from certain regions could be constituted using stable isotope and elemental analysis methods.
