Synthesis and crystal structure of one dimensional chain manganese complex [Mn-2(C7H4O3)(4)(CH3OH)(2)]center dot 4H2O center dot 2CH(3)OH

The one dimensional chain manganese complex [Mn-2(C7H4O3)(4)(CH3OH)(2)].4H(2)O.2CH(3)OH has been synthesized, and it was characterized by IR, X-ray diffraction and UV-Vis. X-ray diffraction result shows that the crystal belongs to triclinic, space group P (1) over bar with a = 7.653(5), b = 10.486(7), c = 12.943(8) Angstrom, alpha = 103.24(1), beta = 104.55(1), gamma = 110.11(1)degrees, V = 885.4(9) Angstrom(3) and Z = 1. UV-Vis spectrum result indicates there exists a peak at 547 nm, corresponding to the electron transition of d-d.
