Application of building multisource geosciences spatial database with Oracle 9i Spatial

It is obvious that the characters of geological data are complex,multiple scale,spatiality,and huge in quantity.It is quite difficult to employ traditional method of storage to integrate databases of different disciplines at one platform for multiple data analysis.The method of building geosciences spatial database is experimented with huge database system,Oracle 9i Spatial.An example by this method of database accessing in programming is introduced and shown that Oracle Spatial has the advantages in spatial data standardization,data security and huge quantity of storage to develop a geosciences spatial database for multiple data sources.
