Preparation of superaerophilic copper mesh for underwater gas collection by combination of spraying technology and flame treatment

2020
Superhydrophobic surface can retain a layer of air under the water, which enables the superhydrophobic surface to form a liquid/gas/solid three-phase interface under the water. The existence of this layer of air makes it have great research significance in anti-biological adhesion, drag reduction, water treatment and so on. At present, there is relatively little research on the layer of the air under the water. In this paper, a simple method for the preparation of underwater superaerophilic copper mesh was presented and a device with strong underwater gas collection ability was designed. In addition, the prepared surface not only has excellent water resistance (the water contact angle is 161.45°), good saturation resistance and corrosion resistance, but also can effectively collect underwater gas. Therefore, the study provided a low-cost surface treatment approach for the preparation of underwater superaerophilic surfaces.
