2021
Ergonomics places an important role in workplace area. The paper focuses on the interaction of human with the work in fiber-manufacturing industry, where there is no machine interface. The postures of the workers are assessed while interacting with the tools and worktable during the manufacturing process. The analysis procedure is followed by a detail study of various postures of the workers at different workstations like mold making, mold developing, post-processing, and finishing. The anthropometric data and RULA data are collected and analyzed for musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs) such as cumulative trauma disorders, lower back injuries, and fatigue-causing factors. The ergonomic study is performed, and the results are proposed for the modification of workstation layout according to ergonomic principles.
