El arte rupestre de la sierra de Ancash: una introducción a su estudio en la provincia de Huari

2012
This article is a first attempt to establish patterns in our sample of rock paintings through a diachronic analysis. We must study the association between pre-Columbian architecture and rock art in order to be able to understand the prevalent designs and the contexts in which they were placed. Our analysis includes the whole sample of rock paintings in the Huari province and surrounding areas in order to find the connections between them. Finally, a consideration of ceramic iconography is made to support rock art interpretations.
