Oligomeric complexes of platinum with bridging nitro-, nitrosyl, and isobutyrate ligands

1990
The reaction of potassium tetranitroplatinate(II) with trimethyl phosphate has been studied. The following polynuclear complexes of platinum have been obtained: K 2 [Pt 2 (NO 2 ) 4 (C 4 O 2 H 7 )(OH)(H 2 O)]•2H 2 O, K 2 [Pt 2 (NO 2 ) 4 (C 4 O 2 H 7 ) 2 ], [Pt 2 (μ-NO 2 )(μ-NO)(μ-C 4 O 2 H 7 ) 2 ] 2 , [Pt 4 (μ-NO 2 ) 4 (μ-OH) 3 (NO 2 )(H 2 O)], and K 2 [Pt 3 (μ 3 -O)(μ-NO 2 ) 3 (NO 2 ) 3 ]•0.5(CH 3 O) 3 PO. The nature of the reagent-precipitant has a significant influence on cluster formation
