[Treatment of radial loco typico fractures with palmar displacement (author's transl)].

: On basis of data from the literature and their own experiences authors state, that by intraarticular forms of Smith's fractures maintaining reduction by non operative means is in general not possible. For these cases closed manipulation and conservative treatment should be abandoned and open reduction followed by osteosynthesis performed. By given material the application os small fragment plates and screws, stable osteosynthesis and early mobilization is the method of choice with promising good functional result. In lack of these instruments fixation by pinning will give satisfactory result.
