Scalar quasinormal modes of the near extremal Reissner-Nordström black hole in NC space-time

A way to search for a signal of space-time noncommutativity is to study aquasinormal mode spectrum of the Reissner-Nordstrom black hole in thepresence of noncommutativity. In this paper, we chose a particular NCdeformation defined by the angular twist. We investigate a noncommutative(NC) deformation of a complex scalar field, minimally coupled with aclassical (commutative) near extremal Reissner-Nordstrom background. Thetheory is manifestly invariant under the deformed U(1)* gauge symmetrygroup. Using the EOM for the NC complex scalar field in RN background, theQNM spectrum is calculated for a particular range of parameters corespondingto the near extremal limit.
