Aproximación a la tecnología lítica del yacimiento Achelense del Cortijo del Calvillo de Fuente Camacho (Loja, Granada)

This paper presents a technological analysis of the lithic collection from el Cortijo del Calvillo in Fuente Camacho (Loja, Granada) deposited in the Museo de la Alcazaba from Loja. The analysis developed is methodologically based on technical reading of the operating sequences through diacritic schemas which lead us understand the knapping techniques and methods for the elaboration of the assemblage. The technical transformation process shows a technical homogeneity that differences it from the Olduwan and Middle-Upper Acheulean industries. So, this analysis is the first study that uses this methodology for Lower Paleolithic in the South of the Iberian Peninsula.
