Polymerization of ethylene under the influence of titanium-magnesium catalysts immobilized on polymer carriers☆

1987
Abstract The main patterns of polymerization of ethylene on exposure to titanium-magnesium catalysts immobilized on polymer carriers with a functional cover have been studied. The kinetic parameters of polymerization are compared in presence of titanium-magnesium catalysts on polymeric and inorganic carriers. The activity of the catalyst is found to depend on the amount of magnesium fixed. The influence of the conditions of polymerization on the molecular mass of polyethylene obtained on polymerization on the titanium-magnesium catalyst on a polymer carrier has been investigated. The constants of chain transfer to the monomer, organo-aluminium cocatalysts and hydrogen are calculated.
