Magnetoresistance and superconducting critical magnetic field of amorphous Al90La10 and Al90Y10

1994
Abstract The influence of the spin-orbit scattering rate on the upper critical magnetic field of superconducting disordered metals was investigated by measurements of the critical field and the normal state magnetoresistance. Two related alloys with widely different spin-orbit scattering rates, amorphous Al 90 Y 10 and Al 90 La 10 , were studied. The results indicate that the critical field may be enhanced owing to weak localization by at most a small fraction.
