Cryptococcal meningitis in a multiple sclerosis patient treated with Dimethylfumarate

2021
Abstract We present a case report of a multiple sclerosis (MS) patient with cryptococcal meningitis under therapy with Dimethylfumarate (DMF). As cryptococcal meninigits is an opportunisitic infection and DMF is known to cause lymphopenia, leading to higher susceptibility toward the occurrence of such infections, we believe causality between the two to be highly likely.
