Effects of hyperbaric oxygen on intracranial pressure and cerebral blood flow in experimental cerebral oedema

Previous experimental work [1, 2, 10] has suggested that hyperbaric oxygen (OHP) will reduce the mortality in animals with cerebral edema and compression. Clinical experience with OHP in patients with head injuries has however been less promising [3].
