The Absorption-Spectrum of CCl Between 1500 and 600 Å

1995
Abstract The absorption spectrum of CCl was observed down to 600 A in a microwave discharge in helium with traces of CCl 4 , using synchrotron radiation from SUPERACO at L.U.R.E. (Orsay, France) as the continuum source. Identifications include three Rydberg series, showing vibrational structure, converging to the A 1 Π electronic state and three series converging to the B 1 Σ + electronic state of CCl + . Two new ionization potentials for the A and B core limits are (14.3760 ± 0.0066) eV and (18.5966 ± 0.0063) eV.
