Way for Intensifying the Process of Anaerobic Bioconversion by Preliminary Hydrolysis and Increasing Solid Retention Time

2021
The negative impact of agricultural activities on the environment is associated with the formation of liquid and solid waste from agricultural and processing industries. Obtaining biogas is economically justified and is preferable in the processing of a constant stream of waste. The purpose of the work is to develop the foundations of a method for intensifying the process of anaerobic bioconversion of organic matter to obtain a gaseous energy carrier through the combined use of recirculation of a thickened fraction of fermented waste (to increase solid retention time and retain biomass) and preliminary hydrolysis of a mixture of an initial substrate and a thickened fraction of fermented waste. The article describes the foundations of the proposed way for intensifying the process of anaerobic bioconversion by preliminary hydrolysis and increasing solid retention time, including both the technological scheme of the proposed way and the material balance of the biogas plant with the proposed way. Application of the proposed method for intensifying the process of anaerobic bioconversion of organic matter will provide a synergistic effect of a combination of methods for intensifying the process of anaerobic bioconversion.
