PRACTICAS Y REPRESENTACIONES ASOCIADAS A ESTA PATOLOGIA EN SECTORES DE BAJOS RECURSOS

Obesity in poverty. The present, is a qualitative research about the complexity of the strategies that make a group of poor families habitually able to feed itself and its possible relation with the development of obesity, which was carried out in Centro Crecer N° 14 located in Villa Banana of Rosario city in the period October - December of 2007. The aim of these strategies is to assure satisfaction and satiety in each meal, resigning the nutritional quality, resulting in monotonous diets characterized by excess. This situation brings about serious consequences which pass unnoticed hidden behind a corporal mass sus- tained by the caloric composition of the chosen food.
