Research and Application of L-Methionine γ-lyase

L-methionine γ-lyase is an important enzyme used in the enzymatic determination of homocysteine in human plasma;In the study of novel anticancer therapy it was found that L-methionine γ-lyase would be used as an antitumor reagent because it could restrain the growth of tumor cells. In this paper,the source,structure,properties and clinical applications of L -methionine γ -lyase was reviewed. In addition, some challenges and future development of L -methionine γ-lyase's application was discussed.
