Preparation of olefinic hydrocarbons from propane over phosphorus-modified ZSM-5 zeolites
2020
The conversion of propane to olefinic hydrocarbons over a phosphorus-modified zeolite catalyst of the ZSM-5 structural type is investigated. The dependence of the activity and selectivity of the catalytic effect on the concentration and method of introducing phosphorus into the zeolite is established. It is shown that the modification of zeolite with phosphorus results in a significant decrease in the strength and concentration of its acid sites and, as a consequence, in an increase in the activity and selectivity of the catalyst towards olefinic hydrocarbons during the conversion of propane. It is found out that the highest amount of olefinic hydrocarbons is formed during the conversion of propane over a zeolite catalyst containing impregnated phosphorus.
