Escala de Ansiedad y Depresión Hospitalaria (hads) en mexicanos con asma: Confiabilidad y validez

The Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (hads) was developed as a screening tool for detecting affective disorders in hospital settings with outpatients. Items referring to somatic or physical symptoms are not included. This scale is frequently used to evaluate populations with chronic diseases. The aim was to evaluate hads psychometric symptoms in Mexican adults with asthma. Seventy-five asthmatic adults participated in the study and the site of the study was a third level care public health institute. The internal consistency was α=.901, values for anxiety and depression sub-scales were α=.873 and α=.771, respectively.
