Ship steering simulator

PURPOSE:To make a ship steering trainee to bodily feel a ship body fluctuating under the influence of waves by fluctuating a dummy bridge associatively with a wave image projected in the visual field of the dummy bridge. CONSTITUTION:A central processing unit 2 detects the relative positions of the ship body and waves from waveform data to detect the waveform of waves at the periphery of the ship, calculates the forcible force that the ship receives from the waves, and solves the freedom degree interlocking equation of the ship body interlocking from the found fluid force to find the ship fluctuations under the influence of the waves. Then the central processing unit 2 adds the ship fluctuations under the influence of the waves and ship fluctuations by steering motion by vector arithmetic and sends the resulting value to a fluctuation device 7. The fluctuation device 7 fluctuates the dummy bridge 6 according to the fluctuation signal from the central processing unit 2. Thus, the driving of the fluctuation device 7 is controlled according to the video signal of the wave image generated by a dummy visual field device 8 to completely associate the motion of the dummy bridge 6 with the waves in the image.
