BCN-sequenced, valence saturated compounds. Synthesis and structure☆

Abstract The synthesis and characterization are presented of a series of compounds having the common structural features of four-coordinate BCN sequences. The discovery of a novel difunctionally substituted borohydride ion, (CH 3 ) 2 NCH 2 -BH 2 CH 2 N(CH 2 ) 2 BH 2 CH 2 N(CH 3 ) 2 − , provides for a more complete understanding of the general synthesis mechanism.
