The transfer of the mother tongue in English teaching in primary schools

The paper considers it partial to conduct the English teaching in Chinese contexts but without consideration of the influencing factors.Therefore it is argued that a proper use of the mother tongue as a positive transfer in the English teaching is advisable regarding place and people.
