Means for assigning addresses in a standardized field bus system

The invention relates to a device for assigning addresses in a standardized field bus system in which a plurality of field bus participants, with the interposition of a respective bus interface are connected to one another via the field bus and in which at least one of the participants a parent (master) functionality comprising, while the other participants a secondary (slave) have functionality, wherein an identifying this unique address is necessary for trouble-free mutual communication of the subscriber for each subscriber. To address assignment independent of the fieldbus remote-control device is provided according to the invention, the so-connects one of the master station with a selectable number of the other party that the master subscriber can activate these subscribers connected selectively with respect to the fieldbus and off. By means of a further provided in said master station controller a unique new address can be determined for each connected subscriber, whereupon the address provided for the respective subscriber is caused in the active state to store this address. After deactivation and subsequent reactivation of this participant the new address over the fieldbus is effective.
