Study of the influence of impurities on the degradation and crosslinking of polysulphone

1984
Abstract A study has been made of features of the degradation and crosslinking of aromatic polysulphone at 360 in the presence of iron and diphenylolpropane, and without these impurities. The presence of iron promotes oxidation of methyl groups of the polymer and accelerates crosslinking; diphenylolpropane interacting with polysulphone leads to chain scission.
