From the Scientific to the Educational: Using Monte Carlo Simulations of the Microkosmos for Science Education by Inquiry

This research investigates whether educational Monte Carlo simulations of the microkosmos (or microcosmos) can improve both students’ and teachers’ understanding of microscopic processes, which consequently help them explain macroscopic phenomena. It is concluded that our educational software and methodology significantly improves students’ and teachers’ understanding.
