The Expression of KAI1/CD82 in the human neuroblastoma with different metastatic potential

Objective To study the expression of KAI1/CD82 in the human neuroblastoma with different metastatic potential. Methods Neuroblastoma NB metastatic tumor （QDDQ-NM） and primary tumor （QDDQ-NM2） cell lines were used in this study. The mRNA expression of KAI1 was determined by reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction （RT-PCR）. The protein level of CD82 was studied by immunocytoehemical staining. Results The mRNA relative expression level of KAI1 in QDD~ NM1 cell lines was 0. 074 8 -＋ 0. 006 3, which was significantly higher than that in QDDQ- NM2 cell lines （0. 074 8 ＋ 0. 006 3 vs 0. 457 6 ＋ 0. 022 6,P~0.05）. The CD82 irnmunoreactive cells was 30M in QDDQ- NM1 cell lines and 75~ in QDDQ- NM2 cell lines,the difference between the 2 groups was significant. Conclusions The expression of KAI1/CD82 is negatively correlated with the metastatic potential of human neuroblastoma. Key words: Neuroblastoma Neoplasm metastasis;  Kangai-1 protein
