A New Approach to Solve the Problem of Source Break-Up Neutron Interference in Secondary Neutron Spectrum Measurement

To measure secondary neutron double differential cross sections in the incident neutron energy region of 9–13 Mev, an abnormal fast neutron TOF spectrometer was worked out and tested. Double differential cross sections of 238U measured by both normal and abnormal TOF spectrometers were compared and a reasonable agreement was achieved.
