Development of Brain MRI Image Segmentation Algorithms using Deformable Models

A Unique methodology to the segmentation of brain MRI images and detect accurately the brain tumor boundary using deformable models so that doctor can do the surgery or any other medical procedure without ambiguity and to reduce the amount of manual interaction and to Improve computational speed of segmentation. The objective of the work is to improve computational speed of segmentation methods, reduce the amount of manual interaction and increasing precision tolerances and algorithms are validated with bench mark data base. The performances of the proposed algorithms are evaluated with various performance measures.
