Validación de la escala psiquiátrica para la investigación epidemiológica con adultos de la Ciudad de Toluca

Objetivo. To determine the construct validity of the Psychiatric Epidemiological Research Interview (PERI) for adults. Method. The scale was applied to 1,647 unclinical subjects and a factor analysis with varimax rotation was carried out. Results. The scale obtained explains 59.11% of the total variance with an internal consistency (Chronbach’s alpha coefficient) of 0.9629 of the 224 original items, 69 remain grouped together in one of the 11 factors. Conclusion. The validated instrument has prove to be reliable to be used in mental health psychological validation of adults.
