It is possible to get material, moral and psychological damage. Investigating the communicative strategies that are used by online fraudsters to achieve their goals, and getting students to know them, is extremely relevant. The purpose of the study is to analyze students' perceptions of online fraud communicative strategies. To study the possibility of conducting educational work with students to improve the level of individual security in the Internet space.  A questionnaire survey was used as a survey method, allowing a more effective and detailed review of the main stages of communicative interaction between network fraudsters and their victims.  The article deals with students' perceptions of online fraud as a new type of threat and risk in today's world. The communicative methods of creating emotional attachment, used by network scammers, are analyzed.  The novelty and originality of the research lies in the fact that students' ideas about modern communicative technologies of network fraudsters are investigated. It has been revealed that cybercrime today is most often understood as a crime in the sphere of computer information or a crime connected with computer technical means. For the first time, the main stages of communication of network fraudsters in the mind of students have been defined: the first stage (a victim, guided by his or her individual interests and goals, gets into the zone of potential risk, and fraudsters get the necessary information about the victim); the second stage (the first contact of the communication participants takes place, the knowledge of the parties about each other is expanded and clarified); The third stage (the formation of emotional attachment, which is a prerequisite for successful communication, takes place; on the part of a network fraudster, the presence of such an attachment significantly increases the chances of making a profit, on the part of the victim - the chances to suffer financial losses increase. At this stage, the online fraudster has a direct emotional and psychological impact on the complex of real or constructed motivation of the victim and seeks material benefits).  It was found out that in the student's representation in the messages of potential victims: a considerable self-criticism is felt; there is a schematic description of the whole situation; quite a lot of attention is paid to the emotional side of communication.  It is determined that in the representation of students’ potential victims of digital scammers are people who have negative experiences of family life and relationships with the opposite sex, because they are the main audience of dating sites (namely, these sites are the most large-scale activities of online scammers to choose a victim and collect information about him/her). It is shown that the network scammers in students’ representations use the following communication strategies: manipulation at each stage of communication; ego playing; constant proof of sincere location; demonstrative demonstration of the desire to be near.
