An unconditionally stable three-level explicit difference scheme for the Schro¨dinger equation with a variable coefficient

A three-level explicit difference scheme for the Schrodinger equation with a variable coefficient is established. It is proved by the discrete energy method that the scheme is unconditionally stable.
