Représentations de la maladie d'Alzheimer chez les médecins généralistes. Brève revue de la littérature

2014
Background. The treatment of Alzheimer's disease by the GP depends in part on their representations of the disease. This study aimed to analyze these representations. Method. Review of the literature conducted in 2010. Results. 5 types of representations and six types of induced reactions have been identified. Discussion-Conclusion. These representations and reactions entangle and generate most often negative consequences in the early diagnosis and quality of care. Different interventions could be made to change them: a better positioning of the GPs in this support, improving their training for this disease and optimizing their work in partnership with other stakeholders.
