EGOS Core Components - Status and Lessons Learned

2010
ESOC has finished implementing the initial stages of the ESA Ground Operation System (EGOS). This is an ambitious program to standardize the infrastructure used throughout its ground segments in an effort to improve the reliability, cost effectiveness and interoperability. As experience has been gained with the technologies and products originally chosen, the initial choices and design have altered appropriately. This paper reports on the latest EGOS Core Components and Framework design, specifically focusing on the changes to that have been imposed from experience gleaned during the project lifetime. The lessons learned from this activity will be described.
