Growth of converter steelmaking at Severstal

The improvements made to converter steelmaking technology at Severstal’ over the last 10 years and the new equipment introduced in this area have elevated the company’s metallurgical production to a qualitatively new level that is allowing Severstal’ to meet the highest standards set by its customers. This article examines the prospects for the further growth of converter steelmaking and continuous steel casting at the combine.
