Análisis multivariante de elementos traza y mayoritarios en aguas subterráneas del acuífero de Campo Arañuelo y en las manifestaciones salobres asociadas a los granitos (Fosa occidental del Tajo)

1997
In this work, we have performed a multivariate analysis of trace elements and majoritary ions from water samples recollected in eighteen wells and four springs of Campo Aranuelo aquifer (western Tajo Basin) and its granitic boundary. The purpose of this statistical approach was to establish a possible relation between brackish groundwater that could be coming from the granite and the groundwater of the tertiary aquifer, taking into account their trace elements clustering, in order to distinguish the waters that could be the result of a mixing between brackish groundwater and less mineralizated groundwater. In this sense, the result of the factorial analysis shows a correlation among Sr2+, Li+, Rb+, Cs+ and V with Clm, Na+ and Ca2+. We could conclude that these trace elements indicate a sign of water probably originating in granite, in the same sense that majoritary ions shows. Thus, these trace elements could be used as an aim for discriminating the origin of groundwaters
