RFLP Standardization Report for DR Beta/EcoRI

A high degree of polymorphism shown in the DRbeta/EcoRI system that identified 20 fragments as shown in Figure 1 (band number 20 not shown). Only nine of these fragments were unique to DRB–5, 6, 9, 10, 11, 12, 14, 17, and 20. The others were also found in the DQB and DPB systems (Table 1). The fragment sizes and patterns appear to be consistent with those previously reported, as shown in Table 2. From Table 2, cell numbers 9066 and 9069 appear not to have any fragments. This is because only fragment 7 is present in these two cell lines, and Table 2 shows only those fragments that are DR-unique or dominant.
