In a rotary electric machine for vehicles which has a power section, consisting of a pair of inverter modules having switching elements and diodes connected in parallel, and a control circuit section which controls the power section, are separated from the control circuit section on the upstream side and the power portion on the downstream arranged side; and there is provided a through hole in the control circuit section so that cooling air flows straight through the power section.
