Methyl 2α,3β,23-Triacetoxyurs-12,18-dien-28-oate

The crystal and molecular structure of the novel triterpenoid methyl 2α,3β,23-triacetoxyurs-12,18-dien-28-oate, C 37 H 54 O 8 , has been determined. There are two molecules in the asymmetric unit, each having a long bond due to steric effects and considerable out-of-plane bending at the C12=C13-C18=C19 chromophores.
