Clinical study of a trivalent subunit influenza vaccine containing antigens of the (H1N1)-subtype
1980
Abstract The sera of volunteers under the age of 25 immunized with influenza subunit vaccine were tested for hemagglutination inhibiting antibodies against the antigens A/U.S.S.R. 92/77 (H1N1), A/Texas/1/77 (H3N2), and B/Hong Kong/8/73 contained in the vaccine. The immunization raised satisfactory titres in non-primed individuals (H1N1) after two doses and good to very good titres after a single dose in persons primed with H3N2 and B antigens. The results are compared with data of other authors. The vaccine was very well tolerated by the volunteers.
