Navigational conditions of entrance area of downstream approach channel in Qianwei navigation-power junction on the Minjiang river

The riverbed of entrance area of downstream approach channel and downstream connection in the Qianwei hydro-junction is high on the left and low on the right,and the flow condition at the entrance area is very complicated.Based on the analysis of the test of Qianwei hydro-junction model and ship model,we propose the measures for improving navigational conditions of entrance area of downstream approach channel in the Qianwei navigation-power junction on the Minjiang River.The test result shows that it's effective to expand the downstream excavation scope,retain the original riverbed properly and adjust the open manners of the flood discharge(scouring sluice) gate reasonably.
