Применение полисомнографического исследования для диагностики нарушений сна у подростков с артериальной гипертензией

The article presents the results of polysomnography that was performed in 18 adolescents with rise of blood pressure during night sleep and in 20 adolescents with rise of blood pressure in wakefulness. High blood pressure was diagnosed applying the method of daily monitoring of blood pressure. Following the results of the examination there have been diagnosed disorders of breathing pattern accompanied by reduction of oxygen saturation of the blood and excessive number of «arousals», that cause sleep fragmentation in adolescents with rise of blood pressure during the sleep. All these factors may lead to enhancement of the sympathetic nervous system during the sleep and cause of stabilize «night» arterial hypertension refractory to the standard hypotensive therapy
