The Reliability Analysis on College Students' Evaluation of Teaching Performance

2012
On the basis of 1,219 sets of data including students' test scores and their evaluative results of the corresponding instructors, this paper makes an objective analysis on the reliability of students' appraisal of teaching performance and the correlation between it and the test score. The study indicates that some students show great freedom in the process of the teaching evaluation, and the excellent students' evaluative results are more reliable.Besides, there is no correlation between the evaluation result and the test score of a single course, but top students grade teaching performance higher than intermediate level students and underachievers. These findings remind us of full consideration of participating students' weight coefficient, simplifying the evaluation index and publicizing the evaluation of teaching performance.
