Design of meander line antenna for wearable applications

2018
Meander line antenna (MLA) is electrically small antenna which have been designed to operate at 2.45 GHz for WLAN application which is a wearable antenna. This paper briefly describes the design of meander line antenna structure using jeans as substrate which has a dielectric constant of 1.6 and thickness of 3.6 mm. Here, Microwave studio CST is used for simulation process. As MLA requires only a less space, it is widely used in most of the applications. This antenna is proposed to achieve more bandwidth and reduction in size. Here the return loss and VSWR of the antenna has been described.
