In order to look for solutions for the increasing water demand, the improvement of the conservation of our river basins and the reutilization of regenerated wastewater self-regeneration pond, supplied with secondary effluent produced at a conventional purifying plant, has been started up. Research Project 07 / 0060 / 1998 (Comunidad Autonoma de Madrid) has allowed us to explain in detail the system dynamics in order to obtain the maximum yield in self-regeneration process
