Study on Risk Assessment System of Leakage Accidents in the Shipping of LPG

By analyzing the factors affecting the LPG(liquefied petroleum gas)accident of leakage from the liquid cargo tank of ships,calculation models about LPG leakage source force,LPG vapor releasing force and LPG vapor dispersion were established.Risk assessment flow about LPG leakage accident was built.Meanwhile,the risk assessment system for leakage accidents was developed by use of Visual Basic.This system could not only calculate the vapor concentration at different region and different time after leakage accident occurring,but also the damage radius and damage consequence to life and property after explosion fire.An illustration shows that this system is very effective to assess the risk of LPG leakage accident and is very helpful to directing the establishment of shipping emergency plan.
